New Service Requests
Thank you for your interest in requesting service with Daviess-Martin County REMC. Daviess-Martin County REMC operates as a not-for-profit cooperative business, committed to delivering electricity at the lowest possible price. Daviess-Martin County REMC is an electric distribution cooperative, the Co-op does not generate electricity; it purchases power on behalf of its member-consumers.
New Service Request
When you request service from the REMC, you become a member of the cooperative. In order to install a new service or begin a new service in your name, a new member must call the office at 800-762-7362 or stop in. You will need the address of the service location, and the account or meter number. A credit history of 12 previous months with another electric utility is needed to determine if a deposit is required. If an initial deposit is required, it must be paid before service can be connected. The deposit is refundable after paying twelve consecutive bills on time.
Transfer or Reconnect/Disconnect Service Request
To transfer an existing service, reconnect or disconnect a current service, call the office at 800-762-7362 or stop in. You will need the account number or address of the service location, the day of closing/moving in, and full contact information before the change can be made.
Bills are issued on a monthly basis, and are due on the 26th of the month. Bills that remain unpaid after thirty days become delinquent, and the account becomes subject to collection and disconnection procedures in accordance with the REMC rules and regulations. Failure to receive bills does not disqualify you from collections or disconnections. It is the member's responsibility to ensure the office has the latest contact information.
