Incentives are available to all non-residential cooperative members. There are no requirements on size of facility, number of employees, or energy consumption. Hoosier Energy administers the program on behalf of each member cooperative. Applications are submitted through an online portal. Links are available at WhyElectrify.

• For replacement of existing inefficient lighting fixtures. New construction installations do not qualify.
• Exterior fixtures, bulbs and tube lamps do not qualify for an incentive.
• Incentive amount cannot exceed 50% of equipment cost.
• Incentive totals greater than $10,000 require pre-approval.
• Equipment must be new and installed on electric account listed on the application.
• New LED equipment must be DesignLight Consortium (DLC) qualified. DLC Product ID # can be found by searching the model number of your new equipment on the following site: https://qpl.designlights.org/solid-state-lighting

• VFD drives between 1 horsepower and 200 horsepower controlling HVAC fans, pumps, cooling towers and industrial fans.
• VFD drives must be new. Used or rebuilt equipment is not eligible for an incentive.
• Incentive items must be installed on the electric account listed on the application.
• Incentive amount cannot exceed 50% of the equipment cost.
• VFD drives controlling greater than 200 horsepower require custom approval.
• Controlled equipment must operate more than 1,500 hours per year.
• VFD speed must be automatically controlled by differential pressure, flow, temperature or other variable signal.

The non-residential custom rebate gives member-consumer businesses an opportunity to apply for an incentive for energy efficiency equipment that does not fall under the prescriptive lighting or VFD program categories. Examples of custom incentives may include, but are not limited to: compressed air, refrigeration, data centers, evaporators, controllers, air chillers, HVAC, etc. Lighting does not qualify for a custom incentive.
